I am on my 3rd on from repairs and replacements. This TV provides a less than average picture and sound. Reliability is questionable. I have had it replaced 3 times and the newest unit just had its second power supply replaced at a 750.00 replacement cost. Gateway does not support the product well. No parts and no service. If you get this unit you better purchase the extended warranty.

I've never had a single problem with this TV, and haven't needed a single placement part, piece, or customer support once.
It's an excellent picture and has plenty of inputs. High Def looks great!

My 42 inch also had problems after only 2 years and Gateway is awful on the support and parts availability--
there is a class action lawsuit in the works -see threads on CNET and additional reveiws

I have owned this television for the past three years. The picture is great with HDTV. But that is about it. The sound is poor and the quality of the unit is questionable. The power module went out on mine the other day. Only 400.00 for the part and fix it myself, or 1000.00 from the local shop. Thank God for my 27 inch RCA, 12 years of reliable service and going. Time to shop for a new tv.
I like the look of the tv and some of the features. I would not recommend that anyone purchase one of these if they are looking for a good tv to keep for a while. After reading up on the other reviews on CNET and other sources, it looks like I broke some type of record, they normally die after only 18 months. Not a good price to pay for such a disposable and unreliable tv.
