Garmin nuvi 370 Car GPS Receiver

I compared MANY, MANY GPS units before making my decision. The current line of Nuvi's that Garmin offers has received mixed/mediocre reviews, but when I heard about the 300 series from a friend and checked it out, I found that it was the series that everything else is compared to. I'm so glad I dug into the discontinued line to find the 370! The unit takes about 20 seconds to load the maps once turned on, but it picks up the satellite signal almost INSTANTANEOUSLY. I was concerned that the flip-up antenna would get in the way, but it doesn't at all, even when windshield-mounted (the slant of the windshield provides enough room for it). The display is wonderful, the directions are quick/timely, it recalculates routes automatically and extremely quickly, and it's so easy to use and to figure out that even a guy like me who doesn't have time to fiddle around with stuff could get it. The 370 came with all the necessary USB cables, a car charger, a wall charger, and even plug adapters for all the European outlets types. The headphone jack is especially nice for those of us who end up driving with others sleeping in the car and don't want to wake them up with GPS voice prompts, but who still need their GPS. An EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT BUY!!!

My daughter purchased this for her boyfriend - he lives in Ireland and travels back and forth from there to the US - he does a lot of traveling throughout Europe and this system had US and Europe maps so it worked out really well for him. I do think that the voices are a little annoying and could be better but overall it's a great system

Awesome product! Easy to use, works great in canada, us ... It's small size makes it very portable and easy to carry with you. Will definitely buy again.

great gps, portable, easy controlled from pc - you can edit/save your locations - they are stored as .gpx file at gps, which is simple xml file - can be easily edited.
(i bought as a present 350 model and later 370 for myself)
you can find locations and send them to gps via garmin maps.
gps has double local setting - voice (you can pick your language, there are many) and local setting as well.
it says approx destination time, which is quite convenient! also says traveling speed and some statistics.
i am going to try it in europe soon.

Fantastic device- especially w traffic option. Saved waypoints of CNG stations. Great to search for places near destination (parking, restraunts etc)before you start. Fits in pocket

Loved it, but it was stolen in europe so i guess ill get another. I was just getting to know how to use it when some German decided they needed it more than me :(

I have a Garmin NUVI 350 and love it !! Very simple to use. We have traveled all around the USA with Garmin and it has saved us time , frustration, gas, and driving. We are traveling to Italy and plan to use the new Garmin 370 there. I chose this item because it is preloaded with 2009 versions of navigation maps for the USA, Canada, and Europe, and the price was fantastic. Now we have 2 Garmins which is great because I use one every day as I travel daily for work, now my children and husband won't have to borrow my Garmin.... We have an extra!!!

Blue Tooth, Maps are great, portable, foreign capabilities like conversion and verbal aids...Just a great compact GPS

It is the perfect portable device for someone who does periodic international traveling for work or personal reasons.

This is an excellent GPS. Loaded with lots of features including pic viewer, MP3 player, NA & Europe maps, currency converter and lots more. Also comes with car charger, home charger and power adapters for Europe. We purchased this model because we are planning a trip to Europe later this year and it has all the European maps built in as well as North America. I found it very easy to use right out of the box, and excellent satellite reception.
I wish it had a little longer battery life for portable operation.

I have been researching this item for a long time and now that I have tried it out I am very satisfied. I got this particular GPS because of an upcoming European trip as the 370 comes with the European maps already loaded. It comes with just about every accessory you could want except screen protectors (cheap to buy, and a shade visor for the car which I intend to get. I would highly recommend this product, but buy it new.
