great navigation;fast response;many extra travel features-language trans lation;money exchange etc. for me only minus[and a very small consideration] is the 3.5 " screen size----a great product and good support from Garmin.

Really like it garmin Nuvi. Can not even look at the map and listen to the directions. Tested it for Geo Caching today and found it really easy and clear for the kids. Better than our GPS 60 as it can get us there with road directions then switch to off road and it puts a line from where you park to the cache. ONce in at the 40 foot range or so it did anounce we arrived and did not show distance which was not the best but you could go off graphic for zooming in. Sure there is a way to see distance. First day using this as for geo caching. Second Nuvi I have toyed with. This is a 350 other was a 260. Not much different beyond MP3 auto books and traffic if you have the add on for the 350.

Even thought the Nuvi 350 is a discontinued item, it's still supported by Garmin. And, it's a pretty nifty little gadget.

It has a flip up antenna. It gives you the option of turn by turn with street names. It has and MP3 and a photo viewer. You can even use your photos as the on/off splash screen!

When you hook it up to your computer, it is seen as two disks. One of these is the SD card slot that allows you to expand the onboard memory - allowing you to add even more photos and music!

Performance of the GPS is great. after you have stored an address in memory, any time you drive near it, it shows up marked on your maps, which can definitely help you get your bearings.

I recommend highly recommend it for someone who wants to get their feet wet without payiing a whole lot for a gps.

Garmin nuvi 350 Don't Leave Home Without It :)

This product is very good to get you around on the road as well if you are walking within a city. I took this item to Montreal last month and it was amazing when coming to directions. The voice directions is one of it's best features. Keeps your eyes on the road, and gives you enough time when coming to turns. Cons: The sounds gets annoying sometimes. Also if buying used make sure the seller is able to transfer the registeration over to your name.

Need more info just drop me a line.

I bought this GPS because I went to a fairly large city one day and got hopelessly lost. I have a couple of friends who wouldn't even attempt to go outside of our immediate area without their GPS and so I thought it was time I stepped into the electronic age myself. I polled several people I know and most of them own a Garmin, and so I went to e-bay. I found what I wanted, bid on it, won, and received my GPS in a timely fashion. It was easy to set up and understand how to operate. So far, I have been very pleased with it and would recommend it to my friends or anyone else interested in a user-friendly GPS.

Don't know what I would have done without it.

I love my Garmin. I took a trip last week and without it would have spent lots of time stopping for directions and poring over maps. With it I just punched in what or where I wanted to go and away I went. Never failed me once. I had looked up on the website and found that this model had been discontinued and was somewhat concerned, but had nothing to worry about. I could put in the name of a store I wanted to find and blam there it was, or a place of interest. I downloaded music onto the Garmin and did find the sound quality was a little less than acceptable, but then I have a cd, tape, and radio in my car so it wasn't needed anyway. I recommend this to anyone traveling to an unfamiliar area, it was simply a vacation building tool. We had fun and got to where we wanted to go without a squabble or having to stop to ask for directions. Found things we wouldn't have known to ask about if not for the features on the Garmin.

I did not think that I would use an GPS. I do not go on the long trips that you would think a person would need a GPS. But what I have found out by riding with my son, is that they are handy even on the short trips or to a friends house, all you need is an address, so I bought one and am very happy with the Garmin 350. It is simple to use with the on screen guide and instuctions. I wish all of the electronics were as easy to use and as helpfull. Love my new GPS here in Kentucky.

I bought this because I have had some experiance with it in the past, My father-in-law had one and I used it on a few trips. It is VERY easy to use and understand. I really enjoy the alternate route feature that saved me 2 hours coming home from South Carolina on Thanksgiving weekend. I will never travel without one again.

I bought one for my wife last year for Christmas, and we both loved it...so this year when I was looking at getting a new car, I decided to save roughly $1000 on the radio/navigation system that comes in most new cars....that you have to pay a monthly fee for most to use the Nav feature. For the money the Nuvi 350 is a great deal. And for a small price of $50.00 at Wal-Mart for the CD to update the maps(cheaper than thru Garmin...sorry) you can have the current maps....sure this model doean't have "real time" traffic updates, but then thats why they put up the pretty orange signs, right? Plus when planning a trip you can get onto any states web-site and look up road work projects and use the Nuvi to plan around it accordingly. To easy. Strongly recommend this one for any traveler....local or long distance. Easy to use and great picture. I actually think its better than the Tom-Tom....but I've been using Garmin GPS's for a few years now....still have the first Rhino I bought and it works great...Anyway, save yourself some issues and get this. You'll never believe how you got along without it.

I bought this GPS for my husband's new car. I bought one a couple years ago and find it very easy to use. I have confidence to go anywhere when I have my GPS along. Just returned from Scottsdale, AZ and had no trouble finding my way to several different locations with the GPS. I love it!

Altho it's a discontinued item, it works well. I like the size and it's probably 98% correct. It had me going in a circle in Memphis a few weeks ago. I have a nuvi 200 that's more accurate, but doesn't say the street names. I'd buy it again tho.

Go Garmin 350 oldie but goodie
Review created: 11/03/09
by:

I purchased the garmin 350 because it was reasonably price and has a good reputation. The one I purchased is used but is working like new. I had been using the gps on my phone but decided to go with the 350 because I felt it was unsafe to have to keep looking at my phone while driving. The 350 is great it reminds you when to turn and it says the name of the street. I'm very happy that I purchase it and would recommend it to all that need a reliable accurate way to get directions to anywhere. The 350 may not be the latest technology but it does a lot of good things. Thanks again

Great little GPS Unit with lots of extras!
Review created: 11/03/09

I purchased this Garmin unit for my son. I have had one for a couple of years now and "can't leave home without it"! It is a great little unit with a lot of information (restaurant info, etc..) and the neat thing about it is it's portability allows you to use it in any car you may be driving, and/or riding in. Great bang for the buck!

  Garmin nuvi 350
Review created: 10/26/09

We like this so GPS so far. We had a nuvi 200 and it was Stolen from a car a few months ago... We loved that GPS but decided to buy one that spoke out the street names to us. There are several small things that we aren't crazy about. The window attachement is kind of a goofy and hard to attached you can't attached the GPS one handed like our old one. We really liked how our old GPS showed your speed on the screen. It was a very nice feature for a wife to be to see how fast her husband was driving! We are happy with everything else and hopefully we will get used to the other issues.

Super Quick to Acquire Satellites. Love the MP3 player, plugs into my motorcycle stereo and sounds GREAT! Plenty of warning before turns and can zoom in or out for the street detail needed. Selectable vehicle Icon's and voice. I like the english woman voice commands. Just works GREAT!

  Easy to Use
Review created: 10/03/09

I have two of them because they are easy to use and certainly hands down better than the Lexus built in navigation system. Navigating the menus, entering data is fairly easy and it is very accurate in mapping and time. What I don't like is if you enter the state, city, street and make a mistake, you can't go to prior screeens to correct without losing all of the entries.

Great product & good price (so far....)
Review created: 10/02/09

We run a greyhound rescue operation, so have to do home visits/inspections, as well as meet & greets and dog pickups & transfers and all kinds of places along the East Coast. Trying to find places has been challenging. Pre-purchase research suggested, and ownership (so far) has shown Garmin nüvi GPS 350 to be simple to learn/use, and very accurate so far. Haven't tried the MP3 or online book "reading" features yet... waiting for the next really long trip! Our prices @ ebay auctions have been well below new GPS prices. GREYT FOR US!
