Garmin nüvi 250W Car GPS Receiver

This model was my first entry into the GPS world. I was pleasantly surprised by the interface which made entering in addresses or even finding generic locations like "nearby Chinese restaurants" mindlessly easy. I'd call this an ideal GPS in the $150-200 range.

I do have a couple knocks on this product though. Firstly, the map doesn't give directions to residential areas well, with their snaking roads and cul-de-sacs, and I tested mine in suburban Kansas City. Secondly, the GPS doesn't ship with two crucial items for non-techies; an installation CD and a USB cable to connect to your computer. Upgrading the map took forever and was a very buggy process that a non-techie might not get through since software needed to be downloaded from the internet.

I love that it puts you in the exact place ya want to go. My family and I are from S.C. We went on vacation to Florida and found every where we needed to go just by using this device. I would recommend it to anyone.

I was trying to keep the peace. So we brought it in a week later for yet another one and was told I wouldn't be charged for it, Yet I was. I was also told that it was new. Was it? NO it was not. I owe $80.00 on the car, Yet you owe me gas money for running from my home all the way to Maysville to get your pizzas you just had to have , when my back was out mind you. Even tho you had others there that could have gone to Maysville to get it instead of me. You also owe me money from what I paid for both the first and the second slave cylinders being put in. At this time the car is not in my possession, it has not been for two months now. It has not ran for two months due to your lack of honesty. It is sitting at my cousins home whom is an Attorney, he has also came up with more than enough people to go in on the lawsuit with me. If you would like to contact him I will be happy to give you his email address.
We can do this one of two ways, You sign the lien over and send me the money that is owed to me, Or you wait for a sepina that will be sent to you. I have also been working on a class action law suit against Mason County Auto Sales for several reasons. I believe it is within your best interest to go with the first choice. I have spoken with other patrons who all agree that the Class Action Suit would be the best thing for all of us to do If I do not receive the money back for BOTH slave cylinders, and the gas money and the 2 hour pay that is owed to me within 5 days which I believe will possibly be the only way you will keep your business afloat., I will assume you have gone with the second and most destructive choice you could make for yourself and your business.

Lets face it. We are all here to make or save money. BUT, sometimes it just not worth it. Case in point...If you need to return an item and your do not have a phone contact, or if the shipping charges are exorbitant, or you just plain change your mind. Personally, I will not buy a product again on E Bay if it from a power seller with no phone number. Also I will NEVER buy refurbished again. Its just not worth the aggravation. Buy local, give the little guy in your town the business. I am curious to now read and hear other opinions and experiences. Just because the seller or buyer may have a high rating; do you want to be the one the get burned?

I find the unit very simple to program. Very accurate and fun to use. I bought due to confidence in the builder and the reasonable price.

I've order refurbished products before from ebay they all have come back looking decent but not like this one. Everything looked absolutly brand new. It works and looks great. I am definately going to buy another from this guy.

This GPS system is awesome. It works perfectly and is very small in size. This is a must have for anyone who does not have navigation in their vehicle. This helps save time, gas, and headache.

It works perfect. I only wish I had purchased one with voice streets, but the streets are listed on the top so it is fine.

I use these Gps in the fire trucks. They show country roads ever good. Very easy to read and understand.

This is an excellent product at an excellent price. My internet search showed the list price at $349.00 and while this unit is refurbished by Garmin, it is in perfect new condition with new packaging an a one year warranty from Garmin. Everything is identical to making a purchase at a typical retailer except the price. The Nuvi 250W is extremely simple to use. I was up and running with it instantly ~ even without the "quick start" manual. It gives accurate directions with street names in the text and "turn right/left in ### of feet" audio commands. The graphics are vivid and easy to view. The wide screen is a plus and worth the small extra cost, in my opinion. It is perfect for travelers as it is portable and will locate restaurants, hotels, transit, shopping (etc.) by category or by entering specific locales. For greater flexability, I recommend an AC home charger as the charger that it comes with is a car charger. I am extremely pleased with my purchase.
