Garmin nuvi 250W Car GPS Receiver

I have used my Garmin 250W for about a week and I think it is a GREAT entry level unit. The widescreen boasts great brightness and easy to read streets.

Speaker is very loud and clear (though I usually keep it muted) and very easy to find directions anywhere you want.

It lacks some of the higher end features like bluetooth and voice to text, but for the price it is a very clean functional unit.

The Garmin suction cup is very robust and has not fallen, even during hard cornering.

Works great, compact and I called Garmin Tech support which was very helpful. This was a referbished unit and I've bought a similar unit before that was and handheld, and love the Garmin product and price and these units.

Very fast on attact the sattlite.The high accuary abour 7-10 M. Very fast on navigator. Easy to use.

First time I buy a refurbished item and certainly not the last. This GPS was like brand new in the original box. It works just like the other 2 brand new GPS that I had previously bought as gifts for less than half the price.

This is my 4th GPS 2 for hunting and 2 for the car. As I have gotten older I found the car unit too hard to see and the functions were hard to navigate. This 250W has just the right size screen and not so many functions you are always looking for something. I love the touch screen. I couldn't be happier with a $1,000.00 unit. It also fits nicely in our downsized SUV. The manual is about 12 pages and you don't need any more!!

I owned a Garmin Nuvi 200W and it was stolen out of my car. I loved the product and decided to upgrade to the Garmin Nuvi 250W when I replaced it. This refurbished item was in like new condition. No complaints from me!

I love this GPS system. It was so easy to download the latest maps (2009), and it allowed me to download them for free. It took hours. So far it seems pretty accurate. It even gives you directions if you're walking. Too cool! two friends of mine have the Garmin nuvi 200W. They like mine much better. we have a few new stores in town (6 mos. old) and it didn't recognize those stores. Oh well. I still love it! I'm taking a trip in two days. We'll see how accurate it REALLY is.

Works well. Price was fair. Installed in car, mounted to dash w/velcro. Find it user friendly. Contacted Garmin for any upgrade of software map. Has 2008 version installed. Found that map is lacking street names in rual aera. Roads signs have been in place over six years. Had many prompt reply from Garmin on this matter. Costly for them to upgrade. Upgrades are free for life.

Only way seller would have payment was by Bank wiring funds. My bank charges $30.00. AS well as others around Inwood,WV. Seller payed $15.00. Big waste of money. Shipment was prompt,2 days...

Item would have been nice if it worked properly. Seller won't refund money although he had stated he would in the transaction if we were not happy with. This is my second encounter in the last 6 months with sellers who do not stand up to their transaction and I'm about through shopping on Ebay. I think I'll just switch over to Amazon.com

One of the greatest invention since the cell phone. You have to keep asking yourself,"how does it do that"? I liked the size of the screen and the fact that it was made by Garmin (a pioneer in the GPS industry). I only hope that like television,the GPS units will someday be so reasonable that they will be put in automobiles as a standard feature instead of an option. They take the confusion out of finding your destination and provide a safer way of locating the place to which you are going.Decided it was a great gift that both of us could use in the future for our antique business,finding auction sites,places for shows and estate sales.Takes the worry out of locating the proper route and getting there in the shortest amount of time.

It's a great product...enough said. It's lightweight, large touchscreen, and is aesthetically pleasing...plus, it does everything it says it does. The Nuvi 250W is a great asset to anyone who wants to get around without getting lost. Garmin has great customer service and reliability.

I purchased the Garmin nuvi 250w for my wife at Christmas. We have used the device on three out of town trips and found the Garmin to be a neat gadget. We did find the mapping is a little out of date in some areas where recent road construction has changed the direction of exits from major roadways. It is very useful in finding dining and lodging facilities in unfamiliar territory.

I like the ease that the unit can be used. It works so much easier than the one that was stolen from my car. That's why I bought it.

We really love this GPS. It tells us when to make our turns and even gives us advance notice of the turns. My husband used it yesterday and is delighted with his Christmas present.

I take senior citizens like myself on little day trips. This Garmin250W helps me when I'm not sure of directions. I am playing with it now with places I know and it works fine.I'll be all set for our first excursion.The price was better than the local stores. It came quickly with no fuss.I like it,good investment!

I bought this GPS system for my eighteen year old daughter for her birthday. She requested the Garmin because a freind of hers had one and they went on a trip together and it was helpful. I did some research and upgraded a little bit to this model because of the screen size and it gives street names. We are very satisfied with this purchase.

This Garmin GPS gives traveling a whole new meaning. Fold out paper maps are a thing of the past. With the GPS you simply enter your destination address and the GPS will guide you directly to the location. Not only is there a detailed visual map in color of your current location but an audible voice that gives directions on where & when to turn when traveling. Even the exact distance to your next turn is both displayed & spoken. Making a trip to a never been to before location is a simple as turning the unit on. Large interstate interchanges can be maneuvered through with the greatest of ease. In addition countless gas stations, restaurants, shopping stores and other places of business can be located on the GPS when used as a directory/phone book. The GPS will then take you to these places of business and tell you within a few minutes of how long it will take to get there. The GPS will take a load of worry or concern off any parent who has a child who is traveling to unfamiliar areas. The GPS will also allow you to bookmark your current location for future visits as well. These units are as handy as a cellphone and worth there weight in gold for anyone who travels frequently. They are very easy to use and operate. Every vehicle we own has a GPS in it. These GPS units gets 5 Stars!!
