Before you all start making humorous remarks regarding that statement I'd better clarify that I'm talking about the difference in screen size between the regular 3.5 inch Garmin screen and the 4.3 inches on the "widescreen" models, and it truly makes a big difference. My step-daughter has a Garmin Street Pilot with the regular size screen that I have used before I bought the 200w and although the functions are much the same I gladly pay extra for the .8 of an inch bigger screen. You see more of the side streets without zooming out so far that you can't read the text on the display anymore, on and off ramps on the express ways show up highly visible, etc. In addition to the increased display, operating the tuch screen is also easier. I find myself hitting the correct button with more frequency then on the smaller screen. The 200 series does not have all the bells and whistles of the costlier Garmin versions out there. Then again; I bought the unit for navigational purposes, not to play MP3 tunes, make phone calls or listen to radio on, I have other gizmos for that. The traffic info feature on some of the top end Garmins would have been nice to have included but the cost to upgrade to systems that have it is significant. (and my satellite radio has a 24/7 local traffic channel) What is important to me is that it does not break my bank and that it gets me where I want to go, and that it does very well. Its maps are very accurate and contain streets in new subdivisions that just opened up late last year! It recalculates quickly when you deviate from the initially recommended route and it will provide detour info on request. All in all a very nice system that gets the job done with a minimum of fuzz. Instructions are simple, as is the use of the unit. The 200W is loaded with many features and a large amount of data. It's hard to believe this is an "entry level" GPS Unit. Great screen (extra wide) and clear display. Garmin WebSite offers technical assistance and various assessories, although unit comes with mounting hardware - for glass or dash (with use of metal, self adhesive disc), and DC power cord. No reflection on the seller....this product comes requiring 2 more accessories that I was unaware of at time of purchase. First product is a wall charger if you can't charge up things in your car when the car is off; Second, you need a USB cable to hook the Garmin to your computer to register the product online. After acquiring a charger and cable, and downloading the program, another thing the buyer is unaware of, this particular unit has chosen not to allow itself to be turned off unless I hit the reset button; nor will the Garmin site recognize the product so therefore I can't register it. (The website wants a dial up connection, I have cable; the site is not very user friendly) To top it all off when I tried to call Garmin's toll free number, the wait for customer service is 15-20 minutes.
