    As with most GPSs the compass only works while moving, unfortunately I didn't realize how annoying this is till I tried to use it :/

    The signal isn't great but it works, on occasion it reports accuracy of 30' but then obviously isn't.

    Bottom Line:
    A good cheap GPS but if you're going to be relying on it for hikes etc. you'll probably want the "H" or better.
