I bought the Garmin Streetpilot III Deluxe for less than $300 after pricing new units at the local retailers. I needed it for trips to Chicago, which can be a very difficult city to navigate with just a map on your lap. Setup was a piece of cake. The instructions are intuitive and very easy to follow.The screens are easy to read and switch between. It came with the newer map CD , which loaded very easily. I LOVE THIS UNIT!! I have been in out of the way areas of Chicago at night thinking "this unit is screwy" but when I follow the instructions of the GPS it gets me where I wanted to be in the shortest time. It has made only 2 minor mistakes. That's less than the $2000 factory installed units in some friends cars. I love the portable unit, and have used it in 3 autos. The factory antenna is not the greatest with a large windshield,such as the one in my 2004 Hemi Durango, but that was easily fixed by purchasing a window mount remote antennae. Have never lost the signal, even among the high rises in downtown Chicago.For the money, this is one of my better purchases on Ebay. I will never buy a factory installed unit. With the online upgrades this will last me a long time. The only downside is the speed can be 2-5 MPH on the low side. My handheld is off alittle also though, so it's the GPS triangulation system, not the unit.

Just what the doctor ordered. Easy to use, once you learn the jargon associated with GPS unit. Customer service was excellent and quick. Will be upgrading in the near future for the latest functions.
