Buy this & two minor extras that make it the BEST

I have purchased TWO of this model. My mother in law has a Megellan and I completely prefer to Garmin. Reason? You can search by business name and it will give you their phone number as well. This helped me out a few times on the road where I was able to call ahead to find out if a store had a particular item, if a hotel was booked or not, and for additional locations that were NOT listed. To my knowledge, the Magellan does not have that feature, but their built-in antenna is strong. Where the Garmin is weak is in its antenna... If you don't want the Garmin in your windshield, it probably won't work too well unless you're driving a convertable with the top down. I've purchased an external antenna that takes care of this, now I can put my Garmin on the passenger seat, in the cup holder, on my lap, or pretty much anywhere I want using that antenna. The reason I chose the 320 instead of the more expensive models is because if you spend about $20 on a 1GB SD card, you can fit the entire north american continent on it and you never have to worry about reloading anything (unless you ever want to update the maps). With the standard 128MB SD that comes with it, you can maybe put three states or three large vicinities on it. For the extra $40 (SD card & antenna), it makes the 320 EASILY the best value out there.
