GARMIN STREETPILOT 2720 -- I CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT IT!!

Having first owned the Garmin StreetPilot 2620, I was well aware of the quality of the Garmin units before I purchased the Garmin StreetPilot 2720. I was already impressed with the accuracy and dependability of the units and felt confident in upgrading to the new model when it was offered in August 2005.
The 2720 has the additional feature that I find most important -- rather than simply telling me that in 400 feet I should turn left, Jill (or as I refer to her "Map Lady") now tells me in 400 feet I should turn left on Kitchener Dr. This seems like a little thing, but, I'm not great with distance, and being told the distance and the name of the street onto which I should turn makes my experience much more relaxing. I rarely glance at the unit to see the map on the screen, though it is excellent. I keep my eyes on the road, and have confidence that I do not need to look at the screen to know what is coming up ahead.
There are some other features that have changed from the 2620 to the 2720. Some of the features took some getting used to, but, once I became accustomed to them, I've been pleased with their functionality.
Differences of note are:
1. 2620 allowed me to program my route using a sliding scale of roads types - minor, medium, and major.
2720 give me the ability to modify my route once it has been created, by using the DETOUR feature.
2. 2620 gave me more stored recent finds than 2720 ... they are actually stored in the 2720, but I cannot see them by simply scrolling through the list. I have to start entering the location infomation again and the system then pops up the recent find.
3. 2620 Touch Screen worked a little differently, but 2720 is far superior, in my opinion.
The long and the short of is that this portable unit by Garmin is the best answer for me. I can carry it with me when traveling by air and use it in my rental car. I can move it between my cars at home. Theoretically, I need only one unit and can use it in any vehicle I drive....BUT....I have TWO!!! Why? well, my husband loves it too and we are not ALWAYS together!
So, the bottom line of my review is all positive for the Garmin StreetPilot 2720.
