Great item, mapping is accurate and updates well even with overcast skys. I got accuracy down to 6ft on a clear day! Saving & reviewing your tracks after you get off the water is very easy. You can find a spot on your Mapsource software upload it, and drive right to it on the water. On strange water you can find your way back day or night. If you get the a/c to pc cable use the Belkin PDA serial to USB adaptor if you don't have a serial port. Even with the unit being "Discontinued" Garmin does still offer assistance for this unit and Garmin can still repair these units. This unit is everthing I was wanting & needing, easy to use even for a novice like me.

I like the fact I can navigate my boat in waters I don't know,these units also guide you at night and will take you back to your favorite fishing hole,I love the fact you can follow your path back to home port,I bought this unit new,the ad said,I did some research and found out these are discontinued units,ad failed to inform the buyers of this fact.

Great tool for fishing and the GPS is really easy to get use to. Have three of these now... Even some of my fishin buddies are looking to purchase some of these units for their boats.

Garmin GPSMAP 168 Sounder
) Most Bang for the Buck. This is an excellent product for those of us who need a gps/chartplotter unit but are on a limited budget. Comes loaded with an excellent basemap (americas) and can download an additional 2.5 megs of additional maps / data. The unit is very easy and straight forward to use and has a small footprint allowing it to be mounted even on teh most crowded of consoles / decks. This unit is feature packs and even has an MOB (man over board) feature. All in all I would rate this unit a 8/10.
