I saved so much money, and got the refurbished item at half the cost of a new one. I also, purchased an extended warranty thru square trades to cover my purchase. I made a wise purchase with peace of mind. Thanks Ebay.

Fun, but not for every run

Overall, this is a neat little product. Here are my likes and dislikes:

Likes: User friendly, has a lot of cool capabilities, makes a boring run more entertaining, stores quite a bit of run data.

Dislikes: Large and uncomfortable, could be more customizable (in terms of designing a workout), not for use in areas without a clear view of the sky

I am training to run a marathon and the garmin tool is excellent at telling me how far i am running- which is great- i do not need to map out a course for my mileage- I just start running and it tells me how far i am going and my pace- which is just as important. I really like the product- wish it had a a light or somthing i can use to see the when i run in the early morning (dark)

I actually use this unit primarily in my hobbies for tuning my RC boats and RC trucks. Small size and light weight make it very easy to mount to my vehicles.

Nice Unit. Only draw back is that the GPS gets lost or weak under heavy tree cover. Also not for swimming, but for the price, since so many newer models are out now, it is a good buy for the $50 - 60 range. No more though.

  Get what you pay for
Review created: 04/16/09

I like that I can keep track of the distance that I am running, along with the pace and calories burned. However, batteries need to be replaced often. I have experienced the battery dying in the middle of a half marathon, which was very frustrating.

AWESOME!!! Love it!!!

How did I ever enjoy running without one?

This thing is so accurate and easy to use. My wife and I would go nuts running and not using this. Every runner/walker needs to purchase one.

: Have a LOOK at this VIDEO first:

Just take 2 minutes and read this. This is very EASY to do! It literally takes 10 minutes to setup. Simply follow the steps below. I promise you, this is 100% real. I would not jeopardize my eBay account status if this were a fraud. My feedback is real. Here is what you do. Click on the link below, register, pick an account type (referral is the easiest) and complete just 1 offer (Very important that you complete an offer otherwise your account will sit in limbo until you do). This is not like other sites where you need to complete one offer on 2 or 3 different pages. Many of these offers are FREE TRIALS with nothing else to buy with NO COMMITMENTS!

-Step 1: Click or Copy & Paste this link to your address bar:
http://www.FlashiPods4free.com/index.php?ref=63681

-Step 2: Sign up and chose an account type (Referral is the easiest and best).

-Step 3: Complete just 1 offer (I recommend EyeMyCredit). If you don’t cancel your membership within the 7-day trial period, you will be billed $12.95 for each month that you continue your membership. :-D Trust me choose this offer and check your credit report as well. Remember to cancel your membership within 7-day, if you don't want to get billed $12.95.

-Step 4: Then Refer 8 people to do the same as you did.
*** It is very important to do Step 3 first then refer 8 people to do the same (use eBay, MySpace, Face Book, blogs, friends, etc.! Do what I did; copy my ad). ***

-Step 5: Once everything is 100% complete just place your order. Then you will receive your 32 GB iPod Touch for FREE in several weeks (The SHIPPING is FREE!). Trust me it is worth it.

The reason these companies make money, is that most people do not bother getting all the referrals. All you have to do is post it on eBay or other website I mention before! They use us as advertisement by word of mouth, which saves those tons of money that goes toward yours and my gift. These are legit companies such as Blockbuster, Netflix, Game fly, etc... You can copy my listing if you want. You must use your own authentic link though. You will get your own personal link after you signed up and choose an account type.

I know this sounds ridiculous but it works! For proof that this is for real, click on the links below. This company is behind everything.

  Garmin Forerunner 101
Review created: 01/12/09
by:

The 101 is a little bulky on your wrist if you have a small wrist. The 101 does not load the satelite data in my house or on a cloudy day very well. It can take up to 3-5 minutes so it gives you time to warm up with a fast pace walk. For 100 bucks though it is a good device and very helpful for maintaining a certain speed and progressing overtime. Good luck to all...

  Great for the Price
Review created: 11/01/08

I really like the Forerunner 101, especially for way under $100 on Ebay. The GPS occasionally loses signal but the Garmin quickly fills in the time and distance when it returns. Usually under heavy tree cover is where I lose it but it's only momentary. Also, you will not like this device if you need to know your current pace as you run. There seems to be a long delay for the pace readout to catch up to you. But when you are finished you will have a time, distance, and pace figure that seems to be legit. The history feature is really cool as well, and the fact that I don't have to remember to charge the battery was a huge selling point for me. For the ultra-serious stat worshiping runner, this may not be for you. If you just need distance, time, and a finishing pace, you can't beat the price or the product. Good walking/running!

  Garmin 101
Review created: 04/07/08

I got this particular model for a couple of reasons. The first was the price. It is the cheapest in the series and is the same as the 201 with the only exception being it has a replaceable battery versus one that you have to charge. I am not one who remembers to charge things so this was more of a self preservation move. It seems to take a bit longer than the 305 to find a GPS signal, but once it is locked in I have no problem keeping it. This model does everything stated and is easy to use. The screen is big and readable and the buttons can be used while running. All in all for the money this products exceeds my expectations.

  Great Training Tool
Review created: 03/03/08

Great training tool for runners. I bought it to help me train for a half marathon and I am well on my way. I really like the custom screen feature. It allows you to pick out 3 things that you want to monitor during your run. Pace is what I use it for mostly. I really enjoy it and like breaking down my runs. It does take a few minutes to get connect and you have to be outside, but otherwise a great product. Highly recommended.

  Accurate Pedometer
Review created: 07/06/07
by:
lsn1231 ( 7 )

My wife walks and likes to keep track of the distance. Pedometer after pedometer would become inaccurate, work only on some terrain, or stop working. I bought her a Garmin Forerunner 101 for Christmas. After learning to love it for its accuracy and for always working correctly she misplaced it and had to use a pedometer again. She had also started using some of its other other features and lamented that she no longer had them. This is where Ebay came in; as I didn't want to spend full retail again. I bought a replacement and she is once again enjoying its use.
