Garlic and Sapphires by Ruth Reichl (2006, Paperback, Reprint)

Bought book for a book club I belong to. It is fun and cute in a lot of ways = and has some good recipes. It is written by a food critic and goes in to the trials, tribulations and challenges she faces. My only negative input would be that in each sequence she goes through all the process leading her through the critique = and then at the end puts in what she wrote for the paper in her critique = which is a lot the same and leads to a lot of duplication in reading.

I'm enjoying the book. Reading it for a cooking group I belong to. We will discuss the book at our upcoming luncheon. I like the recipes she adds in and will definitely attempt a few in my own kitchen.

I love this book - I love her descriptions of the food she is eating in the restaurants that she visits. I love her disguises and the people she meets when she goes to restaurants. The book also has great recipes if one feels daring enough to try one and the restaurant reviews are great, too. What a fun read! Treat yourself to a Ruth Reichl!
