I THINK ALL THE "FOR DUMMIES" BOOKS ARE PRETTY WELL DONE. THEY USE HUMOR TO HOLD YOUR ATTENTION. THIS BOOK IS ESPECIALLY GOOD FOR BEGINNERS I THINK. I'VE BEEN DOING THIS AWHILE

This book is great for the beginner gardener like me, although I was dissapointed by the VERY small section on vegetable gardening. It does have lots of good tips for creating compost and improving your soil. I need to get "Vegetable Gardening for dummies"...or maybe "how to buy the right book for dummies"! ha ha

I knew nothing about gardening before I read this book. Now I know a little above nothing. I know the types of flowers and what zone I'm in now, but that's about it. I was expecting a step by step guide of how to prepare the ground, etc. That's not what I got.
