Gantz - Season 1 (DVD, 2006)

There is nothing like this that I have seen before. From the beginning it starts somewhat slow but before the end of the first episode you are hooked. There is some very graphic violence in this series and some scenes are over the top gore. Blood, guts, guns, girls, sex, comedy, violence, and all of it is wrapped around this science fiction video game style of situation all the characters find themselves in. You see, once they die, they now belong to Gantz, and he will not release them until they have scored enough points. Little do they know that no one has ever escaped Gantz.

PROS - Very unique movie that keeps you interested. Characters that are very likable.

CONS - There is some rhetoric in the film and you get a sense that some of the conversations are being repeated. The characters go through this intense struggle and only a couple seem to actually learn anything.
