There is nothing like this that I have seen before. From the beginning it starts somewhat slow but before the end of the first episode you are hooked. There is some very graphic violence in this series and some scenes are over the top gore. Blood, guts, guns, girls, sex, comedy, violence, and all of it is wrapped around this science fiction video game style of situation all the characters find themselves in. You see, once they die, they now belong to Gantz, and he will not release them until they have scored enough points. Little do they know that no one has ever escaped Gantz.
PROS - Very unique movie that keeps you interested. Characters that are very likable.
CONS - There is some rhetoric in the film and you get a sense that some of the conversations are being repeated. The characters go through this intense struggle and only a couple seem to actually learn anything.

Gantz was a controversial series and has been heavily censored to remove graphic violence and nudity during its Japanese TV broadcast. But you can get it completely unedited and uncensored with this release along with its excellent visuals. This series is a big orgy of extreme violence, foul language, and explicit content with lots of gore and nudity. All the elements are there to make a very addicting show that leaves a rememberable and very good overall impression. Definitely worth seeing.

Love it so muchBy far my favorite anime. It has action sic fi and horror mixed into one. I have seen a ton of movies and animes and i have never seen anything like this one. There are some slow parts, but it is fully worth it, i have also allow many of my friends watch this series and they are as hooked as i am. I recomend this highly! After watching this, pick up the comic online. You wont be wasting your time.

Well I had to buy another copy since this seller never sent me the one i paid for. however Gantz is an amazing anime which i enjoy greatly!!! I have let many friend borrow it and they too enjoy it. the story is full of everything, action, romance, comedy, etc. just have to admit the ending was a little disappointing, but still worth it.
