Gangs of New York (Blu-ray Disc, 2008)

This is a gotta see movie,the acting is top notch and the set design is some of the best you will every see in the movies ever again!95% of everything you see on screen is real,the streets and all buildings as well as the docks and ships,this movie takes you back to a time in our history that most of us never even knew existed.most of the movie takes place in the 1800's and chronicles some of the very first organized gangs in New York city's 5 points area as well as the corruption inside our nation at the time immigrants were coming in by the boat loads,After having seen it 2 times I have to say "God" I wish that I could have lived back in those times,what a ride it would have been! Most of the story line and almost all of the set design was based off real photos and documentation of the time.The plot however I'm sure as in most movies is mostly exaggerated,but excellent none the less.Bottom line? If your into movies about our history and how events may or may not have changed our future,this is the one to see!
