The Game (DVD, 2002)

Amazing movie that keeps you on your feet and thinking the whole time. Great concept for those that enjoy thrillers with multiple twists. Also great cast. Highly recommended!

If you've ever just happened to find a diamond or a hunk of gold or found out something you thought was junk was actually a priceless treasure, you'll understand how I felt when I got this movie included in a lot purchase of video tapes. As I unpacked my new tapes, I cast this one aside, never intending to watch it. Not "my kind of movie", I thought. Well, I was bored one day and wanted to watch something I hadn't seen a million times, so into the VCR it went.

WOOF! This movie was gripping and surprising from beginning to end. Just when you're sure it is about to be predictable, it twists deliciously. Fiendishly. Michael Douglas is in top form in this thriller, which is the story of a birthday "gift" gone horribly wrong.

... so why does everyone keep saying they remember their "first time" with The Game? You'll have to watch what happens to understand ... and you'll have to watch closely until the very last minute of this excellent flick. Male or female; whether or not you think action/thrillers are "your kind of movie", I highly recommend The Game. A "sleeper" masterpiece of treachery and hope and having the guts to keep going when everything in your world is lost.

Probably one of the best movies ever made!!! This movie had me on the edge of my seat. Very unexpected ending!!

The Game

It is a wonderful movie. It really puts you on the edge of your seat when you watch it because Micheal Douglas is a wonderful actor. I hope that anyone who watches feels the same way I do.

The story involves two very different brothers. One down to earth, the other aloof.
It takes a series of shocking games to bring down the aloof brother. The story is very well told and keeps you on the edge of your seat from the beggining.

The Game is a very interesting thriller. The film has so many twists and turns it will leave your head spining! There really is no logic to what happens next. Michael Douglas plays a role of a wealthy, bitter man that does not recognize a bizarre birthday present from his brother played by Sean Penn. I really enjoyed the suspense during the entire film and bought the movie because it is worth watching more than once.

I love psychological thrillers and this one is absolutely top of the line in my book -- not to mention the intense performance by the extremely talented Michael Douglas.

It's a great movie and I bought it for my grandparents. They watched it they day I received it and they loved it. This movie really gets you thinking and for the price, you can't beat it.

This movie is about a cynical Financial Fat Cat who loses touch with the human side of life. Through a gift his brother got him for his birthday, he is reminded of his humility.

Michael Douglas is a brillant actor and he did not let me down in this movie - the game. I laughed out loud from beginning to end. This movie is about two brothers, one who is a workaholic and one who is not. This is not one of those movies that you will watch only once. In fact, you may even learn something from it.

The twists and turns in this movie are constant. This movie has you on your toes all the time. If you are looking for a good action packed thriller this movie will be an instant favorite.

The DVD was sealed and in great condition. While watching it there were no problems (i.e. - it did not skip or anything). I bought it as a gift for someone, and they very much enjoyed it. I'd buy a product like this again.

I love this movie. From go it is dark and mysterious. I find the choice of actors to be excellent and there is a surprise behind every door. Really can't think of anything I don't like about this movie. Dark, sinister, with a really baffo! ending. Give it a watch sometime- I think you'll enjoy it.

I think this movie is great , it is full of action and is a mind boggler. I have the movie on VHS but did not have a copy in DVD. So I purchased an additional copy.

Again the condition of the DVD is great, the movie is very good and we also enjoy Michael Douglas. Another big PLUS to ebay sellers.

I purchased this film on Ebay because I had lent my original copy to a friend and it was never returned.

The DVD I received plays O.K., but I was very disappointed to find that it is (apparently) a Bootleg copy. It has no label on the DVD and says "Made in Mexico."
