10 meter radio out of the box can be more than you thought of with a ham rig. Newest generation of galaxys line up of "Big Rig" series radios, this model has dual 2SC1969 output transistors that generate a very nice 45 watts peak power on AM, channels A-H 26-29 MHZ of channels, no sideband. Front mic jack, nice starlight faceplate so it's easy on the eyes at night. 10K slide, No frequency counter or roger beep circuit. Easy to read watt meter goes to 60db, dual echo, adjustable receive control as well as power output is variable. I've owned one for over a year and it is the best Galaxy i've ever used, however i'm going for the newest model they offer which is the 98VHP that has just been released. It has more bang with 8 finals to bring the power in excess of 200 watts. I'll review that on a later date. Overall you will be pleased with any Galaxy radio, they offer a two year warranty, which is far better than the one year or 90 days you get from the other makes.
