  An excellent budget Espresso Machine!

This machine is a great choice for those buyers who are seeking a decent reliable budget Espresso maker. I would say this is an Intermediate-level machine, not an Entry-level one, because of the powerful 16Bar pressure pump. As most of you have heard, the pressure is one of the most important things when making espresso. All details are really well thought of, the filters and handle are out of sturdy solid steel with a comfortable plastic handle- very ergonomic, easy to use. My family really enjoyed using the Gaggia Carezza.

Terrific espresso machine with a full size portafilter, fast heat up and reliable operation. The steam wand, while it works very well, is a little short and low to the counter which causes minor difficulties when using larger than a 12 oz. frothing mug. Quite happy with this unit.

This Gaggia is a great buy for the money. Great espresso and frothing wand/panerello tip works relentlessly. This compact machine packs a great punch to those who love espresso, lattés, cappuccino. On the simple downside, the steam knob was stripped out when I bought it. It seems the brass mount got so hot it melted/softened the underside (kind of deformed now) of the knob. I just keep the little screw that hold it on, loose, and it works fine. Replacement knob is kind of expensive ($16.00). The portafilter basket gets clogged easily. I've tried cleaning with several solutions used for espresso machines and for soaking, but none have cleaned the filter basket. I had to clean out tiny holes with a sewing pin. Tough learning the fine grind and pressure to tamp espresso, but practice makes perfect. The crema gets better ever day. Heavy duty brass insides and portafilter make this a great buy! Don't forget to let machine warm up for 6 minutes or more and to purge at least 6 oz. hot water out of group head and steam nozzle before pulling first shot of the day! Espresso Rules!!!

This is my 1st real pump expresso machine .I have always had Krups steam powered machines. When my Krups dies on me I always said I would move up to a pump expresso. They a expensive but buy this low end Gaggia used made it very afforalbe and WOW what a difference in my coffee!!!!Worth every penny makeing the step up.I like Gaggia for it seems built way more solid and qulity of parts compared to other brands at the low to mid price range.Plan on getting a conical coffee grinder makes a huge difference! My coofee is now as good or better then some drive through expresso stores!!!

  Great espresso machine!

Changing from a steam machine to a semi-automatic was scarey. but this machine made it a breeze. Great espresso the first try. Still have some learning to do but well worth the time to perfect the perfect cup espresso. Love it!

Easy to use once you read the directions and get a little practice. The foaming attachment is too long, so we just use the steam wand without it and still get great foam. It's also important to have a burr grinder, since you need really finely ground coffee. This is my first pump machine, and I'm very happy with it. Maybe if my current job doesn't work out, I'll become a barista!

The Carezza is outstanding. It is easy to use, with just three large buttons, and makes a great espresso. To top it off, it is low cost too.

Very easy to use. Great starter machine for the money. A little on the noisey side, but it's hard to be quiet when your frothing!!
