GPX PDL805 8.5 in. Portable DVD Player

The seller had listed the item as brand new, never used and fully functional. The item was used, scratched, missing parts and not operational.

I like this iten really well. It is what I expected and more It came in a box that had been opened ,but all part were there, wraped in plastic wrap and all worked. I wanted this item because I was having surg and my other dVD player was not workin at the time.This was just what I was looking for and the price was right I take it out side and watch a movie while I set in the swing as I live in the country, and occ. we have electrical problems I grab tht DVD and watch a movie. I recemend this play to hightly

The button that holds the cover over the dvd does not work. I have to hold it down or else the dvd does not load or run. Otherwise the player is really nice.

The catch that holds the lid closed is broken but it is in good shape otherwise Thanks I have never had a portable before I bought it for my wife.

This is a great player that has a great LCD screen, great options, reliable, and has all the accessories you could want!

This item was bought for my child's Christmas present. I took it out of the box upon arrival and looked it over. Appearance wise, it looked fine although the box was a bit damaged. When she opened it for Christmas she was so excited. We put a movie in it and the player refused to load the movie and made a horrible sound. We tried a different movie, new, and the player still refused to play. I have contacted the seller and they have refused to answer me. There's suppose to be a 1 year warranty for the item, but I cannot find any paperwork in the box. I have submitted problem with Ebay but have not received a resolution. I'm out about $75 and have a unhappy child with a broken Christmas present. I am totally unsatisfied with this item and plan to not buy any more products from Ebay. I really would love someone to advise me on how to get this item replaced or the money refunded.

I like this portable DVD Player because it is a region free player. I can
play almost world wide DVD disc. I also like it because it is very thin.

I purchased this unit for $65. It was slightly used with only a few scratches. My 12 year old has had various other brands in the past but loves this one. The battery holds up well for a full length movie. The 8.5" screen appears much larger than a 7" one. It could use a bit more audio through the built-in speakers but with headphones it plays very loud. The design is well above average. Overall a very good pick even if you pay retail.

Nice compact size. Good picture quality. Great volume and control. Even used the product is a greater value than a brand new dvd player I purchased of a different brand.

Player worked out of the box which is always a plus. It took quite a few tries to get the subtitles turned off but it finally happened. Also the function buttons eventhough cleary marked are at times confusing. Picture is not top quality but will do the job. Nota top of the line device but for the price it was just about right.

IT HAS A GOOD SIZE SCREEN AND VERY NICE PICTURE WITH LOTS OF FEATURES.I REALLY LIKE IT BECAUSE ALL THE ACCESSORIES CAME WITH IT, HEAD PHONES, RECHARGEABLE BATTERY, CAR ADAPTER,ELECTRIC CORD AND NICE CASE WHICH A LOT OF THE PLAYERS YOU HAVE TO PURCHASE SEPARATELY. I KNOW YOU COULD HOOK UP SPEAKERS BUT THE ONLY THING I DISLIKE ABOUT MOST PORTABLE DVD PLAYERS IS THAT THE SOUND IS NOT VERY LOUD. NOT A BIG PROBLEM SINCE HEAD PHONES CAME WITH IT. THE PRICE WAS THE MAIN FACTOR IN PURCHASING THIS PLAYER.

I did not want to purchase the item after founding it out that the similar item
is on sale here in my area for much cheaper price, but the seller insisted me to buy it and I did went ahead with my commitment, but it was a mistake on my
part and I regret it very much.

The battery life will allow me to watch two separate movies on a single charge. The stand-by power remains high...even after 2-3 days of sitting. The picture quality of this 8 1/2" LCD screen is top quality. Earbuds are very average, but that is a simple fix.

I purchased this unit after a flight to Washington from Houston where Frontier Airlines was charging $8 for a movie on a cheap 6inch screen. The many interruptions and cutting the movie short was thrown in for free.

If you get this unit, you will not regret it.

I received the item, thank you very much. The only problem is that the open/close clip is broken, it doesn't look new. It will be too costly to return it so I will have to live with it.

First, let me say that I'm an expert in repair of these items and all players have pros and cons. This is a good entry for GPX with a large 8.5" widescreen LCD.
Pros:
1. Battery attaches in slot on bottom and is never lost with automatic charging cutoff.
2. Has S-video out for easy connection to a TV.
3. Has coaxial jack for connecting to a game player or amplifier.
4. Has button for setting subtitles.
5. Very attractive design.
Cons:
1. Screen inverter board and connections go bad with many of these, resulting in scrambled picture.
2. Plastic latch breaks off easily (must be opened and closed carefully).
3. Only a single headphone jack. (needs splitter for shared listening).
4. Laser pickup is fairly good.
Overall a good player. Invest in a laser lens cleaning disc and use it reliably!

I am impressed with the product. I had looked around and was able to but the GPX player for much less on ebay. It has the features I wanted.

received broken item ? Isn't surprises that seller doesn't accept responsibility for the item when they thro on auction. They advertise on auction that its buyer's risk for item whether it comes in parts or defective or bunch of missing accessories. And buyer endup in loosing money.

My GPX player has DVD and DIVx playback, light and smart design unit.
I like this player. I will recomend DVD player.
