Not as good as the TV series

I love the TV series, and was really excited to hear about the upcoming movies. Unfortunately, the movie does not stand in the standards set by the series. Do not get me wrong -- it is funnier than most movies produced today -- but I know that next time I will want to see a Futurama, I will go to the TV set and not to the movie.
I hope the movie will improve on second watch. I know I will see the movies to come, hoping they will give new insights (I understand they are at least partly connected). If this does not happen, the movie can be considered as a longer episode, which is not one of the best.
