Just A Continuation of The First CD - Awesome

If you liked the first DevilDriver CD, then you will like this one. The band returns with new songs, but the material is the same. All the songs are fast, heavy and have vocals that will blow you away. DevilDriver doesn't change their sound in anyway between these two CDs and that really makes The Fury Of.. just as successful of a CD. If you're looking into DevilDriver because you're a fan of Coal Chamber's work, you'll want to give this band a listen before purcashing. Coal Chamber had a more Korn-type sound to them (actually, I think they had that sound before Korn - but that's beside the point), and they had choruses that actually involved singing. The only similarities these two bands have is that Dez was the lead vocalist for Coal Chamber and now he is for DevilDriver. DevilDriver has fast, heavy guitars, fast drums that utilize a double bas and Dez won't be singing on his CDs. Instead, Dez screams - and boy does he ever scream. His screams will sometimes be low and grumbling to high and, at times, a tad nasally. This CD could have almost been nothing more than a continuation of their previous release....but that doesn't take anything away from how good it is.
