As always breed delivers on the mic. Solid production on this album. What I liked about this album was that it sounded like nothing else out at the time. Breed kept it original with in house production from his own team giving it that flint flavor. Breed also collaborated with none other than the D.O.C. who helped pen some of the songs on this album. DFC also shows up to add some more of that flint flavor to the mix. My joint on this album has to be SEVEN YEARS, which uses the same sample that PETE ROCK & C.L. SMOOTH used for their hit STRAIGHTEN IT OUT. If you're a commercial rap fan then this album might not be for you, but if you're a BREED fan then I recommend copping this. This album threw me off a little bit coming off the heels of BREED's classic joint THE NEW BREED, which featured the certified banger I GOTTA GET MINE featuring the late TUPAC SHAKUR. However this was a well produced album that grew on me once I picked up on the vibe that BREED was bringing. As I said before this album only confirmed what i already knew, and that was that BREED is a very solid rapper with an original approach to making an album that doesn't conform to the norm.
