Overall, this book is a good textbook for use at the college level. It has many comprehensive examples, however, at times you must rely on a professor to explain some of the more difficult examples. In addition, real world experience will greatly help you understand the concepts learned about in this text book.

The book has about 26 chapters in it. The concepts build on each other so you must put in the work from the chapter before in order to make sure you understand all of the examples and concepts you learn about.

Overall, this book is a good buy. I feel as if it will start to get outdated especially with the currently 2009 financial / economic crisis the United States and world is dealing with, however, that will probably lead to the next edition in the series.

I would not spend more then $145.99 for this book so if you find it for cheaper it is worth it. There are other books out there that are good like this one and with the changing times new editions will surely be added.

The book was overall good. And it was in a good condition. It is cheapter than the U.S. edition, but it lack color. So, if it can be a color print, it will be much better.

I have 2 college students. they needed books for classes. they thought they would be able to find a better deal on ebay and save some money. they each went on my computer with my permission to look for their books. they each had there book names, authors, numbers, everything on the top discription was correct. unfortunately my daughters did not read the discription farther down saying that the discription at the top of the page is not the book for sale and here is the corret discription. and proceded to give a correct discription of the book, so they did have the discription of the book. my daughters could not use the books and had to send them back. they wanted to only refund 80% of the cost of the book and none of the shipping and handling but after several emails they refunded the whole cost of the book and no shipping. my daughter still had to buy her book at the book store. and took hours out of my time to straighten out this mess and had to pay shipping for them to send it and to return it. college is expensive and time consuming enough, this was a big pain and totally unnecessary. PLEASE can you make some rules so that comanys and sellers can not print misleading opening discription. these are some of the things that makes shopping on ebay so diffacult and time consuming for me and keeps me from doing more. is there any thing that can be done to prevent large book sellers from doing this mislead and deceitful act. you would think that such a large company that sells so many of the same books, would have access to a camera to take a picture of the books, and be able to give a correct discription from the begining. i figure the only way they can sell these books is to do it this way and hope people won't bother to return. the book say on the covers not to be used in the us. so why else would they do this way. Can anything be done to prevent them from continuing this misleading deceit, they list and sell so many of these books, and they are all the same fakes. i notice afterwards people listing the correts books have to say this is not a fake and is the correct book, thay shouldn't have to do that if wern't for people like this. my sister-inlaw keeps telling me ebay is so easy, i just dont see it. i have so many things i would love to sell on ebay, i build up my courage start buying things and then something like this happens and makes me lose my courage and i end up saving them for a garage sales. what should i tell my daughters dont bother ebay for books its not worth the hassle.

My book came late, and it is the Indian edition which I am not able to use in my United States class room..... it was not advertised as such and I am hopefully getting my money back... not recommended

Did not ship my order until 9 days after I placed it, and 5hen sent it the cheapest way possible. Overall, it took a month for my order to arrive; part of that was because the USPS was especially slow, but when the seller neglected to ship my package for a full 9 days, it really should have been shipped overnight or second-day.

The item arrives on time. I like it because it is still in good condition as promised. Despite some highlights, it's all good.

In short, this book might work for you if you have different homework assignments (e.g. Homework Manager on-line), but would not work if your homework is taken directly from the book. If homework is not an issue, buy color international edition for best value vs. quality.

I purchased an international edition of this book as I do always for my undergraduate courses. However, before buying this specific book I did a little research because all of the sellers were new, and their descriptions omitted some "usual" international edition disclaimers.

As usual, there are two international editions:

1: Indian black & white - I'd read only negative reviews of this edition. Also, I'm not a fan of the monotonous black & white book: give your eyes at least some rest through variety. When asked whether this was black & white edition, sellers of this edition did not reply.

2: High quality, color edition (I'm not sure where it's printed originally). I purchased mine from Malaysia. The seller fast and honestly answered that this is a color edition. What this seller missed was an "unusual" addition to the "usual" "international edition disclaimer" printed on the face of the book: "... and contains content that is different from its North American version."

I did not have a chance to compare the content against the authentic US edition, since I'm taking a part-distance education class, but it seems that the chapters have the same material (at least educational value is completely the same), but the "end-of-the-chapter problems" are for sure DIFFERENT. They might have pretty similar questions with different dataset/numbers, sometimes in foreign currency, and rarely the questions are completely different. Luckily my professor uses author's on-line Homework Manager, which might be familiar to finance students, which changes the dataset/numbers anyway, so you have to work the numbers anyway, and that works even with this book.

The solution to this book is definitely written for the US edition (and may be for a different one than yours, since there are at least two official 8th editions), so it helps only in principles. The questions are the same; the numbers are always different.

I bought the Financial textbook for my class in University but I haven't received for more than 2 months! I have sent emails to the seller but he didnt reply any of my emails. I have asked for the film claim but I didnt receive any response from Ebay. I have a friend who had been in the same situation as me from other website. She also asked for film claim and got refunded just for a few days later.I am really disappointed on the Ebay's policy for buyer protection. I have wasted my time and money.

It's the perfect for the money I paid. The only bad thing is that a delivery took more than two weeks.
