A family memoir told in Comic book form

This is the first of Bechdel's books I've read and I was absolutely riveted. It isn't a traditional book (heavy on text) but instead is told in comic book form. Also, this is a tale of a quirky, eccentric family (what many would call "highly dysfunctional") Be that as it may, I couldn't put it down. I've become fascinated by the creative uses of the comic book form in recent years and this one is a standout! Give it a try and, of course, for those who are "reluctant" readers, the illustrations make the book more accessable and easy to understand. It is, however, designed for ADULTS, not children.
