Full Metal Jacket (Blu-ray Disc, 2007, Deluxe Edition)

One of Stanley Kubricks finest in my opinion. The new transfer to HD looks good but could have been better I think. Still a great movie in HD.

I a story that happens in a timeline that was similar for me.. I did not see anything like this in my tour, some combat scenes but the rest is fluff and drama.

Great classic war movie. If you have never seen it, just buy it on Blu-ray you will not be disappointed. Most realistic boot camp training compared to other war movies. Very accurate to what happened in vietnam.

The movie was great no flaws! A+++++ This is as real to basic training that i'v seen. It was so realistic and the acting was excellent.

This is one of the best movies about war that there is. Taking you from the beginning of what war is (basic training/boot camp) to the harsh reality of the fight, you can't ask for anything better.

I love this movie. It's everything I imagine boot camp was during the Vietnam war, and it happens to be my favorite war movie of all time. Matthew Modine is great, and R. Lee Ermey as the drill sergeant, in his first ever role, probably changed how more than one drill sergeant did his job. He was only hired on the movie because he was a real life drill sergeant, and he was supposed to make sure the actor playing the drill sergeant was accurate. Apparently, he was even better than the actor, and viola! A new career started for him. Stanley Kubricks finest hour, challenged only by A Clockwork Orange.
I hope you enjoy this movie as much as I do.

I love this movie long time. This movie just long enough not to bookoo. Anyone who has seen this movie and not come away spouting some of the lines is a magot. Best recruiting movie for the Marine Corps ever made. Shows the making of a warior. The breaking down of the individual to the making of a team to the fearless instinctive reactions of a born Warior elite.

Movie is amazing, very funny yet serious at times. It was shipped quickly! And the price was unbeatable!

I love this movie but I expected more in bluray. its almost like the dvd and definetly not worth the extra money for bluray. its looks redigitized and not specifically any better than a normal dvd.

Have to love the lines like, "holy steers and queers!!" It is also a realistic look at what war is like and the deaths that go along with it and the psychological effects it has on the soldiers. This movie is truly a classic and one of my favorites.

Full Metal Jacket is simply the best war movie ever.
The story and acting is first rate and Blu-Ray makes it all
the more spectacular.

I have this movie on reg. dvd already , but like it so much that now since I have a blu ray player I wanted it for it as well. Great movie , seen it the first time when I was like 15 and still think it is one of the best war movies I have seen , next to Band of brothers . Highly recommend

This movie gives a very accurate depiction of the basic training that Marine soldiers went through at Parris Island, South Carolina in preparation for being shipped off to Vietnam. It is Kubrick. What else needs to be said? One of my favorite all time movies.

excellent blu ray movie kubricks depiction of the Vietnam war in 1080p with the limited amount of blu ray movies that actually take advantage of blu ray this is defently a must have for any fan of kubrick and high definition video only downside is its really just the orignal theatrical movie no real extras sometimes extras are a waste of time tho
