I have read everyone book written by this extraordinary writer! This story by Dorothea Benton Frank continues her magical ability to weave characters from her previous stories into the present, thus making everyone feel connected. One could imagine themselves stepping into the story- the details are rich and the dialogue flows. Ms. Frank is a true southern writer who is eager to share the history and her love of South Carolina. It leaves you wanting more! This story begins when nonconformist Grace, a 35 year old travel agent, learns the meaning of true love, loyalty, and faith. She then begins to question all of her choices in life. When to love, who to love, how tight to hold on, and when to let go. Torn between her overpowering, but loving strict Catholic family and the love of her life, her non-Catholic boyfriend, Michael, she has to face an uphill battle to bring them together. Finally when one of them becomes sick, the power of love works.
