Quiet Drive

I bought a Fujitsu Mobile MHT2060AT 60 GB recently because I needed more storage for my laptop. I figured 60GB was a lot more than 12GB and while I really didn't have much problem with the 12GB, there were some files I'd like to keep for a while.
My store of choice was, of course, eBay. I looked a several different 2.5" drives including Travelstar, Western Digital, Seagate, Hitachi, and Fujitsu. I've had drives from each of those companies before and have been generally satisfied with quality, capacity, and speed. I was looking for the biggest drive for the lowest price -- anywhere between 40GB and 80GB. I'd read reviews on each manufacturer, and different models from each, with the consensus being (at least where I've read), that all are quite reliable (perhaps Fujitsu and Seagate being on the high end).
Well, anyway, the Fujitsu 60GB came up at the best price point by size for a Buy It Now item. The drive arrived a few days later and that weekend I installed it. I setup my partitions, formatted the drive (I use Linux), installed my OS and copied my files over from the old drive.
I shut it down, and then rebooted. Dead silence, except for my laptop's fan!! Within a couple of seconds the BIOS passed off to the OS and the familiar boot sequence came up. I entered my user and password info, and shortly had my familiar desktop staring back at me, ready to go as if nothing had happened.
What was so initially shocking, yet still a pleasant reminder of this purchase, is the quiet of this drive. The old drive had more noise than the cooling fan and CD drive combined. The new drive is just a whisperer.
