Things don't seem to exciting lately for Hannah Swenson, owner of The Cookie Jar Bakery, in Lake Eden, Minnesota. She does have her potluck classes at the community center and her sister Andrea is very pregnant with her second niece or nephew, but she needs some excitement of her own. The only other thing happening in town is this year's election for Sheriff and Hannah and has been hoping that Andrea's husband, Bill, may have a fighting chance against the old blowhard, Sheriff Grant, who has ruled the town with an iron hand. But before any winner can be declared, Hannah discovers Grant's body in the dumpster behind the high school after her pot luck teaching class. As if things weren't bad enough, the sheriff has the fudge frosting from a cupcake Hannah gave him during class, all over his face and shirt! Hannah had been experimenting on finding the secret ingredient that was left out of a recipe that was given to her. The number one suspect is her brother-in-law Bill, even though there are plenty of people who hated the sheriff. Even his wife, Nettie, is not blame free. They were doing some serious feuding and had a skeleton rattling in their closet. Soon enough gossip goes through the mill at The Cookie Jar and Hannah feels she is getting closer to finding the murderer. Will she be able to smoke out the killer or be the next victim?

The book was in very good condition. THe delivery time was fine. I would order again if the occasion arises again.
