I have two daughters in their twenties. Everytime they try a recipe in their experimental stage of cooking great meals from a cookbook...it is disappointing to them. The Frugal Gourmet cookbooks all have great recipes, easy to understand and they come out great! Gives my daughters confidence in their cooking great meals and they learn some history behind them too. I have all his cookbooks and refer to them quite often.

GreatThe variety of recipes, the speed in which the item was sent, and the price was wonderful. I can't believe the quality of the book. I wasn't expecting such quality and speed of service. Thank You so much for the product. I am going to use it as a christmas present. I am sure they will appreciate this item as much as i did when i received it.

This book isn't just full of recipes. It's full of useful tips, food history and wine pairing. Jeff Smith wants to reinvent how you think about food. Even though this book came out in 1983 it was ahead of it's time and still is. Jeff was already talking about the dangers of hydrogenated oils and the benefits of making things ahead of time.
