Must read for people with pain in their shoulders

My doctor diagnosed me with tendonitus of the shoulder, and the orthopedic doctor said I had adhesive capsulitus, and prescribed physical therapy. Although physical therapy improved my range of motion significantly, I remained restrictive and partially frozen after one month's treatment and found that Davies book was very informative with detail explaining all about trigger points, knots in the muscles, and myofacial, the stuff that separates the muscles and how it gets lost and the muscles merge and get restricted in movement. It also explains all the possible causes of frozen shoulder not just trigger points. But trigger points are definitely something to be considered before some of the more aggressive treatments.

I purchased this book because I have the author's first book. This book goes into detail for self health maintenance of shoulder pain. There are detailed diagrams and explanations. Ideally, coupled with a theracane or bodybackbuddy, an individual can successfully keep their shoulders free of pain and functioning optimally. The author writes from experience with enthusiasm for painfree living. He puts the information from the Travell "Myofascial Pain and Dysfunction; The Trigger Point Manual" books into relatively easy to use techniques. It's a very positive approach to self health.
