Frozen River (DVD, 2009)

I would totally recommend this movie. It has a terrific storyline, following two single mothers who are in tough finantial situations, and live in the area
of Massena, NY, the Mohawk reservation, and Canada. They meet under very tense
circumstances, but after their first run across the frozen St. Lawrence,
illegally transporting undocumented aliens through the reservation, they forge
a strong and dependant friendship. Through a series of intense events, leading to an exiting climax, Ray and Lila make tough decisions based on their friendship,and love for their children. The movie had excellent acting,(Melissa
Leo was Oscar nominated for her role as Ray), and kept me on the edge of my seat in suspense. Its portrayal of its Native American subjects was very respectful. As a resident of the Massena area, It was neat to recognize some of the scenery. A must see!

This story is about the Indian reservation near where I was born and brought up as a child. Therefore was very interesting to me.

i think is a well acted movie,the two females are from different cultures but become friends under one cause.it shows what some people do in desperate tinme when money is needed.it also shows what can happen if there is consequences.

I had heard about this movie from a friend. She made it sound good so I had to watch it & it was good. I am pleased with the movie.
