Wonderful children's story with beautiful illustrations
Fritz is a wonderful character and, though a pony, speaks to thoughts and feelings that are experienced by all of us, young and old alike. It is lovely to see him earn respect and love by the strength of believing in himself. The illustrations are beautiful as well and compliment the story. We have had this book for years and it has always been one of my daughters' favorites and read many, many times. Now we are giving to a new generation of parents to share and enjoy with their children.

) My daughter and I love this book! It is a truly charming tale about a pony who is overlooked because of his looks. But because of his character, his true worth is finally recognized at the end. As usual, Jan Brett's artistry is spectacular and the pictures have you gazing at each page long after you finish reading the words. This is the perfect book or present for any child who loves horses!!!
