Friends - The Complete Series Collection (DVD, 2006, 40-Disc Set; Digipak; Back to Back)

Well, here's my story, sad but true. My very first e-bay purchase turned out to be a major hassle. My daughter and I always enjoyed watching my Friends DVD collection together. So, after she moved to the other side of the country to be with her husband who is in the Navy, I decided to buy her her own collection of Friends DVDs. So, I got on e-bay and found one from a seller in California for a buy it now price of $105.00 + $15.00 shipping. I opened a Paypal account and purchased it. Right away I got an e-mail from the seller telling me that his e-bay site had been hacked into, and that I shouldn't pay. Too late, Paypal had already paid the crook (somebody in China). So, I filed a claim with Paypal, assuming I would never see any merchandise, since I was dealing with a crook. Well, the crook in China did send me a Friends DVD collection, a pirated version with oriental writing all over the box, nothing remotely like the set I had ordered. Most of the DVDs wouldn't even run in any of my DVD players, and it was obvious that they had been recorded off of the television station, since the ones that did work had promos for upcoming shows (like ER). To top this off, Paypal responded to my claim by saying that they were not going to refund my money because I had filed my claim as "Item not received", when I had actually gotten the item. They recommended that I contact the seller to resolve my dispute. Fat chance. I called Paypal and demanded to speak to a supervisor, who I explained the situation to for the one millionth time, and they finally gave my a refund. I promptly closed my Paypal account, and I will not buy from e-bay again. There are already too many bad guys in the world that can take your money without voluntarily handing it over to them.
