The Friday Night Knitting Club by Kate Jacobs, Kathleen Jacobs (2007, Unabridged, Compact Disc)

am an avid knitter and have read lots of knitting fiction. This is by far one of the worst books I have read although I did finish it. Most knitters I know, including those on ravelry.com really did not like the book. The characters were not engaging (I didn't cry when one of the main characters died; she was annoying mostly) and I didn't feel any connection to this group of women. I have read many more books along this line with either knitting or book clubs as the central theme that were better written and more engaging. Fortunately, I borrowed this from the library; working at a bookstore, I have warned several customers away from this book. Heard there was a ghost writer and a lawsuit (didn't change names of characters) through the rumor mill. Incredible!
