This is a GREAT book for beginners, just buying an aquarium. I am sure the people who are now pro's with their aquariums would find the book useful too.

Great for beginnersI owned this book before and decided to re-purchase it after a house fire last Dec. It is a very good, basic book for beginners as well as basic info for the avid aquarium owner. It goes into PH, nitrates, etc about your water which is very important for healthy fish. It is an easy to read and follow for anyone and explains quite a lot about the basics of an aquarium. I have owned an aquarium for about 26 years and this is a good reference book.

I bought this book so i could get my water stabilized and it does have alot of good information.I do recommend this book if you are setting up a new freashwater aquarium.
