I didn't really need another cookbook, but the color photographs in this were so striking, I couldn't resist.

This tiny little tome helps you make favorite sweet French dishes like souffles, parfaits, hazelnut meringue cake, and chocolate mousse.

There are no step-by-step photos, unfortunately, just gorgeous images of what the finished dessert should look like.

The recipes don't have numbered steps, but are easy to follow. The ingredients are clearly laid out on the side of every page.

The desserts include poached peaches and pears in wine or syrup, a variety of tarts, napoleons, chocolate cream pots, a raspberry bavarois, souffles, walnut cake, and strawberry shortcake.
