Movie Description The story of the Civil-Rights Movement as seen through the eyes of a teenage Owen Walker (Shannon--THE HURRICANE) growing up in bigotry laden Mississippi in the 1960s at a time when Jim Crow black segregation laws were legal. Owen regrets his father's (Glover--LETHAL WEAPON) passive behavior against racism and joins the Student Non-Violent Coordinating Committee (SNCC) as they struggle to reeducate black citizens and gain basic human rights, predominately the right to vote. From the writer and director of FIELD OF DREAMS, based on accounts of actual SNCC members. A TNT original movie.
