  Cheesy but Fun

I had played the first Freedom Force game, so I picked this up expecting a continuation of the silly comic book cliches and character origins, fun gameplay, and cool old-school style designs. This game didn't disappoint! The game is fun and challenging at times, as there are multiple objectives, hidden objects, and villains. The graphics are cool, seeming just like a comic book, with lots of dark alleys, busy streets, and old buildings. Best of all, most everything can be destroyed or used as a weapon, including cars, trees, lamp posts, garbage cans, and manhole covers. If you've played the first Freedom Force, which I recommend, you'll be a little ahead of the game but new players will be able to pick it up quickly. The best part is being able to stop time and change your orders to a character. You can have one character throw a box of dynamite at a bad guy, stop, and order the other characters away so they don't get caught in the blast. if you like comics, it'll remind you of WWII-style Captain America, but it also has RPG or Command and Conquer-style characteristics. You have opportunities to try new characters or build up the same characters and unlock some cool abilities. Overall, it's an enjoyable game with a funny typical comic book story to drive the action. There is also a rumble room where you can pit characters against each other. I didn't try the online play, but I imagine it would be fun too.

Add Your Favorite Comic Books Superheroes to the game!

The greatest thing about this game is it's modability. You can download tons of Comic Book Super Heroes to add to Freedom Force to duke it out. There's so many different characters that fans of this game have created that you can play almost any kind of game you want, even original content so you can create your own characters! Transformers, Fantasy, Star Wars, Street Fighter, Marvel and DC SuperHeroes, and alot more!!! Here's a few sites created by fans of some of the stuff available:

Even better the second time around

I played the original Freedom Force and loved it. So when I heard they were making a sequel, I had to have it. The game picks up a little while after the first one ends. The team is still dealing with the loss of their friend Manbot, while trying to keep Patriot City safe from evil. There are some great new characters (My favorites are Black Jack and Sky King), and the story is very entertaning. The control scheme is very easy to learn, mostly point and click. I guess my only complaint is that the game is to short!

  Fun Game!

This game has some really fun interaction. If you've ever wanted to play a super hero or make up your own variations this is a good and fairly simple playing format to do it in. I've always enjoyed a good multiplayer game and I think I'll be keeping this one in my collection for quite some time. So many games today seem to be focused on how much gore or how many foul words can be pushed into it and still make a buck. This game doesn't cause me to leave it feeling violated in any way... just some clean animated comic book fun! And the price!?! Unrealistic... as the game itself :)

While not overly innovative compared to the first game, it still does all the things the first game did right.

The graphics are bright and colourful the sound and presentation both work together to enhance the game.

If you are looking for a fun game, with fun original gameplay, then Freedom Force vs. the Third Reich is a good choice for you; and at only $3.00 on ebay you really can't go wrong.

Holy extreme caped crusader campyness, old chum!

Freedom Force vs. The 3rd Reich is a solid and well-built strategy game. It's one of the finest story-driven role-playing games available on any system. It's both a parody and tribute to the four-color pages of the glory days of comics when spandex heroes fought against world menaces. The game captures this with a wink, but also a great deal of love. Freedom Force vs. The 3rd Reich is a comic book guy's dream come true, a delight for strategy/RPG fans, adults, kids, and wannabe super-heroes all over the world.

  Superhero fun

This game is plain-out fun except for the annoying voices. Play is fairly simple, using pretty much only the mouse and a couple of number keys. Just turn down the sound and you will be in retro superhero heaven!

  More like Custom Force
Review created: 08/01/07

i had never actually played the main game, but i do play this a few times a week as actual character from the marvel and dc universe. i found this game as an excellent way to pit the green lantern corps against the sinestro corps, spider-man against batman, and superman against the sentry using modded skins and meshes (just do a simple google search, or go to http://freedomreborn.net, the best forum for up to date mashes, skins and mods.)

well worth it for any comic book fan!

Freedom Force vs. the 3rd Reich (PC Games)

I decided to buy this game because I played the first Freedom Force and loved it. This game was mostly better. New characters, better graphics and sound and interaction with the environment.
I have to say, though, that I was disappointed. The very first level didn't load the graphics, and although you could still play the game, you couldn't see anything. I was able to get past that and continue playing, and in the levels after that, the graphics loaded just fine, and things were great. Until a few levels before the end of the game, I encountered the same graphics problem. This made the game unplayable, and it made me sad to have to put it away after having so much fun.

The original game was discontinued from the producer. Ebay was the only option.
I was pleasantly surprised to see that 10 of them were selling. Ever since the spider man movie came out I craved that game.

  Freedom Force 10 game lot
Review created: 06/05/07

Game theme is along the lines of what my 12, nearly 13-yr old daughter likes to play.

The price of 10 copies for .99 was too good to pass up, I'll be donating and trading away the excess copy.

This seller is highly professional, and almost always overwhelms me on how fast they deliver.

This is my first purchase from this seller, but I have bought many more items since then.
