Free Realms (PC Games, 2009)

Free Realms is a free-to-play MMO aimed at kids and tweens but has found a niche with time-strapped adults and those who like their games casual. It is free to play with a cash shop and a $5 a month subscription tier, but 75%+ of the game (and the entire game world) is open to free players. The graphics are excellent and are much better than the other popular casual friendly MMO, Wizard101. There is plently of quests, instanced combat and trade skills to complete. Crafting takes on a whole new level when you race to finish a round of match-3 instead of just hitting a button. Cooking is very similar to the Cooking Mama mini-games and other non-combat classes have similar min-games to complete. Overall, I'd say that if you haven't the time to play WoW any longer, take a good look at Free Realms--it will surprise you.
