...and by far the best album of Gavin's career. Well we've all heard that saying "Less is more". This album is SO much more than anything I have heard from him and we ALL know how great Chariot and Chariot Stripped was. So to say this about a nine song cd is really saying something. It's not the number of songs on this album but the contents of the songs on this album and these nine songs are everything I could ask for from a musician. Lyrically and musically. Anyone who has heard a Gavin Degraw song knows just how talented he is but no album has showcased those talents better than Free. Such soulful melodies and pure sound. No additives just amazing vocals, piano and guitar playing. That's it and that's really all you need. I don't think I could ever get tired of listening to this cd and I HIGHLY encourage you to give it a listen and add a copy to your music collection. You owe it to yourself to do so. I can't even begin to express how impressed I am with what he's done here, and I don't know whatt else I could possibly say to make you realize just how great this album is. It really is music at it's absolute finest. I'll tell you what, although the entire cd is something you can stick in your player and put on repeat, my favorite songs are Stay, Mountains To Move, Lover Be Strong, and Dancing Shoes. Listen to these songs or even just one or two of these songs and you will have heard all you need to hear to know just what a master piece this is. I guarantee you will be so glad you did.
