Great little book that serves to inspire those Freds who don't know who they are and pat the inspiring Freds on the back.

  Hello...My Name is Fred!

This book is incredible. It is life changing. Why? The answer is simple...God's love changes even the hardest of hearts. Author Mark Sanborn tells the story of a postal carrier named Fred who impacted his life in a way he never expected from a postal carrier. Fred is a compassionate and joyful man with a supreme goal in mind: be the best postal carrier he can be, but not just that, to be the best person he can be too. Mark's story continues with other "Fred Sightings" and how they've impacted his own life.

If you're looking for a great chance to see what a difference a simple act of kindness can make, then this is the book for you. Upon reading this book, I was able to see how even the little things i do in life can affect anyone. This is definitely a book for anyone, especially the businessperson, manager, and employee. i hope you enjoy it just as much as i have!

Its Really About The Personal Happiness Factor
Review created: 07/07/06

The Fred Factor written by motivational speaker Mark Sanborn is the story of Fred a mail carrier who always has a smile on his face and goes the extra mile while doing what many may think is a mundane job. But Fred is more than happy to be a mail carrier and brings a lot of caring and upliftment to those he serves. I think the story of Fred is nice but it doesn't really help people who really do hate their jobs at least in my opinion. I think Fred would be happy no matter what he did because he is a happy person. What Sanborn should have wrote about was how to help people who are stuck in the wrong occupation. Not a bad book, just not what I was looking for at the time.

There should be a little "Fred" in all of us.

This book should be required rading for everyone in business! He really hits home with what it means to go the extra mile for others. The world would be so much nicer and happier if everyone followed these principles - including me! I loved the book, and I'm reading it over and over to get those ideas ingrained in my head. You won't be disappointed.

Excellent message and easy to implement. People love it

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and the message it aimed at sharing. This type of "over the top" service is something I have striven to provide, and this book really inspired me to start challenging my work team to do the same. People who come into contact with others who are genuinely trying to provide uncommonly good service are wowed. It is a rare thing, and yields superior results. The book is a little "over the top", but one can easily see how to apply these principles into their life, and enjoy the benefits. I have since given the book to several others to read. Great stuff!
