Hilarious! I could not stoplaughing!!!

I asked my girlfriend to marry me before the movie, so it was much more enjoyable after the "YES"!!!!!!

OMG!!!!!!! That is my reaction to this spectacular most heartwhelming and laughing Christmas movie!! I have collected and watched alot of christmas movies like elf, christmas with the kranks, ect. But this IS FAR MOST THE BESSSSSSSSSST!!! I was laughing and then crying and this could be the winner of all family films! Vince Vaughn couldn't fit this character any better. I would highly recommend this to adults, kids, and famlies. It is the kind of movie that would be so GREAT to watch as a family on christmas eve or day with some hot chocolate and snacks and having the whole group feel the emotions and laughter throughout this movie that BRINGS THE WHOLE CHRISTMAS FEELING, MEMORIES, THANKFULNESS, AND THE TRUE MEANING OF FAMILY & CHRISTMAS TOGETHER!!

fred claus is a fantasic holiday movie you can see over and over again if u can watch with children grand kids even by your self .

Just in time for 2007 Christmas stockings, this film was one on the top of my list to buy and keep. Co-produced by the star Vince Vaughn, this could just as well been a holiday piece film that has just about everything for everyone.

We find this story quite peaceful and quaint as Mrs. Claus (Kathy Bates) delivers her second boy. The child comes out saying Ho..Ho..Ho. So we soon find out that little Nicholas must be our future Santa. Later on in life, the sibling rivalry thing between Fred and Nicholas begins at the moment Fred's younger brother cuts down a tree and crushes his birdhouse.

Santa really delivers a ton of acting, played by Paul Giamatti, who has been in quite a number of movies that didn't think did him justice.

Kevin Spacey had a major role in shaping the outcome of this movie, playing an uptight efficiency expert sent up to the North Pole to put additional pressure on Santa and make the story more definite. Kathy Bates plays Santa's and Fred's mother which adds more stress on top of this already furious sibling duo.

Just when you get to feeling like Fred is a just an angry, uncaring, jealous, and wears a chip on his shoulder, he comes back to take care of his brother St. Nick's duties of delivering all the toys to the waiting world. Fred delivers the most heart wrenching speech in the film to Slam after giving him a puppy. Slam really doesn't know that this year's Santa was good 'ole Fred.

Fred says this to Slam:
"The world is what you make it.
It all starts with what you make of yourself.
Now I want you to believe in yourself, Slam. Because, you have a lot to
believe in. The rest will kinda' fall into place."

Make sure you check out the deleted scenes section where you will find many expanded cuts and additional comedic relief not present in the final cut of the film.

The sibling rivalry focus group is the funniest of all when Fred comes back from the North Pole and enters into a group discussion where we find Frank Stallone, Roger Clinton, and Alec Baldwin talking about their problems with their brothers.

I'm going to give this a 4/5 for wonderful graphics and elf-filled scenes, but a little slow and contentious in places.

We rate Fred Claus with an Average Rating(C+). It wasnt quite what we had expected and hoped for, considering the leading roles were Paul Giamatti and Vince Vaughn and looked hilarious. It started out quite slow and did not pick up a whole lot from there. Also, not very much of a comedy, as you may laugh once or twice, if that and didnt hold our attention. We (adults) thought it was "alright", however, the kids liked it.

We give it an AVERAGE RATING. It could have been so much more.

The ending does offer a valuable lesson to learn.

This movies was not half as funny as I expected it to be.
It started off very slow and never really got any better!
We didn't even finish watching it...............

I have my traditional favorites, love my comedy's this took the number one spot..
Kathy Bates,Paul Giamatti,Vince Vaughn, Rachel Weisz, Miranda Richardson and Kevin Spacey along with a few surprises...totally a movie you can watch a few times and then a few more...

Fred Claus is a great movie for all ages. If you want a good family movie, this is it. Excellent to watch over Christmas holidays or anytime.

My daughter and myself watched it "on demand" we laughed so hard I bought a copy for her and everyone in my family... for a total of 10 ....It was a great Christmas Movie and will soon be one that is watched every year...

Yes, it's predictable. Yes, it's another sappy Christmas movie but boy what fun. Fred Claus has always grown up in his brother's shadow, always being told "why can't you be more like your brother" you know the kind. So Fred grows up not only hating his brother but Christmas as well. so when Fred gets arrested who does he call but his brother Nick.
This is a wonderful movie that I didn't think I'd like. It has funny moments and ones that will make you cry. Kevin Spacey although down on the list of credits plays I think an intricate part in the movie and does what he does best by playing the villain...imagine dumping the Easter Bunny!!!

I LOVE THIS MOVIE!!! My family, in whole, are Christmas fanatics. With two little ones, it's hard to watch an actual Christmas film. We love this movie because it shows that Santa has a brother (some families have more kids) & how upset he is with Santa. THEN, to come back & prove how much he really loves his brother afterall. We're trying to teach our daughters, that there are times we argue & there are other times, when we will go out on the limb for others & that is normal.

I just liked the movie and wanted it to watch. Because I couldnt find it in the stores any more and I also dont go the movie theater.

This is another movie that does well for the holidays. It's a movie that people and kids of all ages can watch. I saw it at the movie theater, so decided to buy it to add to my DVD's.

This movie has it all. Comedy and even a little drama. This is my 2nd favorite holiday movie. First is Elf. Fred Claus delivers almost non stop laughs and it has an amazing family theme to it.
It shows how siblings have jealousy towards each other but always work it out in the end. It's a touching story that I have watched over and over again and will continue to do so over the years.
Heart felt story line. Amazing acting. A must see movie. Perfect holiday film.

Funny and light comedy for Christmas. The characters were warm and lovable. Nothing about the movie was bad. Except a little cheesy at beginning.

I thought Elf was my favorite Christmas movie but Fred Claus gave it a run for its money. Very funny and cute for the kids.

Eh....not so much a good DVD. Could have been a lot better. Not a good family movie either. DON'T BUY!!
