Another good Christmas Story

Vince Vaughn (Wedding Crashers) stars in this offbeat comedy with Paul Giamatti (Duets, Lady in the Water and many many more), Kevin Spacey (American Beauty) and Kathy Bates (Misery, Titanic).
Vaughn plays 'Fred' the emotionally beaten older brother of Nick Claus (Giamatti).
Fred and his brother Nick have been at odds for hundreds of years over how 'goodies, goodies' Nick has been and that he was always Mom's (Kathy Bates) favorite.
When Fred gets into trouble and lands in Jail he calls upon his younger brother to bail him out and help him with another one of his get rich quick schemes. Nick compels Fred to come visit him at the North Pole and 'earn' the money rather than give it to him.
What follows is a wonderful example of two brothers who do not normally get along finally coming together.
This is a very predictable movie, but it is entertaining and at times very funny. One part that I found interesting was when Frank Stallone, Roger Clinton, and Stephen Baldwin are in a meeting that Fred is attending and a discussion of their 'famous' brothers takes place.
Rated 4 of 5 for good it's good humor.
