The Fred Arbogast Story by Scott Heston (2007, Hardcover, Illustrated)

The book desribes true fisherman testing the lures that work. Having the same experience as outlined by the subjects listed, I find that this writing is a must for any sportsman's library. Especialy for those who appriciate the pleasures of fishing and not using some fancy advertisement to promote a lure. As indicated in this book, there are great lessons to be be learned about fishing, advertisement, business, collecting, and all around information about the enjoyable sport/hobby of fishing and lures that work. The only draw back is a true chronalogical order when Fred Arbogast lures or colors were first introduced and when they were discountinued. This is in no the fualt of the writter, its just me being a very detailed person. Get your copy now and happy reading.

book was in excellent condition just what i wanted.it came in good condition and was shipped quickly by the seller. boughtnit because the price was very good.

I purchased this book because I recently became interested in vintage fishing lures,especially the Arbogast Mud Bug which I used as well as many other of my old fishing buddies. Had forgotten about them till someone starting talking one day about what they were catching bass on since catching bass had slowed some. Had recently purchased computer so got hooked up to Ebay and started bidding and became quite enjoyable. Now collect mud bugs, jitterbugs, bombers and several others. Then wanted to know more about Arbogast lures from when started and stopped making some models and also sizes and colors so purchased the book and have very much enjoyed it and very informative.
