An interesting perspective!

In essence this is the autobiography of the first Mughal emperor, a descendent of Genghiz Khan and Tamerlane. Written is the style of a chrnoicle, this book provides a rare and unquie window in Occidental royal life and affairs of state five hundred years ago. It's an interesting book, where weighty topics like Babur's imperalist agenda is given the same airtime as his preference for melons. It's a fat sandwich of a book, and is best read in pieces or for years of particular interest.
