This is the first recording from the Mothers Of Invention with Frank Zappa. It came out in 1966 and has set the standard for cutting edge music with a touch of the bizarre. Check out songs like Help, I'm A Rock and the song about Suzie Creamcheese. The Mothers sound was pretty much the route that Frank Zappa would take into the eighties. If you like your music with a touch of insanity, comedy and extreme talent then Freak Out is for you.

This was the first album I ever bought that contains music I did not hear on the radio, which was only AM at that time. The chick out the checkout counter told me is was a fantastic album and she was right. I am glad I was able to get my hands on the CD. I will take good care of it.

The Mothers put out some of their best stuff on this album.
