I've been looking for this for awhile. This movie can be enjoyed simply as entertainment and also for it's thought provoking themes. Making 'mans best friend' the "monster" was a brilliant twist by Tim Burton. If you like the macabre you'll enjoy this short black and white film!

Really great version of the frankenstein story. The little boy from The Neverending Story, Shelley Duval and Daniel Stern are all fine in this black and white short film by the master of weird horror, Tim Burton. The film reminds you of elements of Nightmare Before Christmas (the graveyard scenes) and Beetlejuice (the nosy neighbors) but is filled with subtle humor and laugh out loud stuff too (like when Frankenweenie takes his first drink after coming back from the grave). Highly recommend this one!

) I bought this because I own a bull terrier and saw the film years ago. This is a must have for any bull terrier owner. I watched it with friends and loved it as much as the first time I saw it. Great piece by Tim Burton!

) This movie is awesome! It is a short about a boy and his dog that is based off the the original Frankenstein novel. Since it was made by Tim Burton, it has humor that both parents and children will enjoy. I highly recomend it.
