If you're new to Hammer horror, watch this to see Cushing at his finest, reprising the role of Baron von Frankenstein in this 5th Hammer Frankenstein film. The script is excellent, and the film has a definitive Hammer gothic look and feel. One of the best scenes involves a blown water main which exposes a buried corpse in the backyard, it's arm waving wildly. There is also a controversial rape scene at the end, adding the prerequisite sexual element that this horror film had been lacking. The film, while not exactly redefining the Frankenstein legacy, does show master Peter Cushing at the top of his game, and showcases the talents of director Terence Fisher.
